OSU High School Honors Orchestra Festival

 

October 6 & 7, 2017

 

The OSU School of Visual & Performing Arts is pleased to announce the High School Honors Orchestra Festival on October 6 & 7, 2017.  Selected string students will rehearse and perform on the OSU campus at the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts under the direction of the OSU string faculty.

 

The Honors Orchestra will be conducted by OSU’s Director of Orchestral Studies, Dr. Thomas Dickey.  Selectionals and master classes will be provided by OSU’s string faculty Dr. Laura Talbott-Clark, violin & viola, Dr. Meredith Blecha-Wells, cello, and Prof. George Speed, bass.

 

High school directors may nominate up to ten (10) students.  Tuition is only $25 per student, covering the cost of an honors orchestra t-shirt and snacks throughout the festival.  A tentative schedule will be announced soon.

 

 

 

 

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY SEPTEMBER 22, 2017.
